Obsidian CEO Talks Planescape Sequel

There's not going to comprise a sequel to Planescape: Torment sequel merely if there was, Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart says "IT would have to be done right."

I'm going to tell you right Hera and right forthwith that nobody's speaking about doing a Planescape: Torment subsequence. There are no rumors of a reexamination, atomic number 102 mysterious, unannounced projects in the works operating room strange "Planescape"-wish hallmark filings sparkly to the rise up. It ain't gonna happen, people.

Unless it does, naturally. "I remember right after coating Planescape: Torment I rundle to [lead intriguer] Chris Avellone and asked what he welcome to do, and he was like, 'I father't wanna do a sequel!' It's almost a no-win scenario.

And why do we need a sequel primarily? A major idea is a brand-parvenue gamey set in the Metropolis of Doors, perhaps with a nod to the original – a trip to the Assemblage Dot Banish, maybe – but that's otherwise completely unrelated. I'd love to go back to the Planescape scene only Badgering, I think, is Sunday-go-to-meeting left alone.
