Janice received her PhD from The states International University, San Diego, CA, with a specialization in Marriage and Family unit Therapy and my Master'due south Degree in Art Therapy from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a Registered and Lath Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) through the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), a clinical member, and an Canonical Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She is licensed as a Matrimony and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the country of Washington and has besides adept in California, Kansas, and Pennsylvania. At Antioch University Seattle she serves as Chair of Creative Arts Therapy and is cadre faculty in the Couple & Family Therapy Specialization.
She brings to Antioch over twenty-4 years of clinical and teaching experience. Prior to joining the Antioch faculty, she taught at Emporia State Academy and Marywood University, Scranton, Pennsylvania for seven years. Clinically, she has worked in the following: an inpatient psychiatric unit of measurement, University and private counseling centers, rehabilitative program for blinded individuals, senior community centers, and in individual practise. She has served in both clinical and administrative positions. Currently, her private exercise is primarily working with couples and to a lesser degree families, simply she also works with individuals with multiple problems.
Currently, she serves every bit a Director of the Fine art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) and has been active in several committees for the American Art Therapy Clan including the Education Program Approval Board (EPAB), the AATA Honors committee, the ATCB nominating committee, equally well as the athenaeum, research, and advertising hoc international affiliation committees. In 2013, she was the recipient of the American Fine art Therapy Clan Distinguished Service Honour,
Her interests include inquiry in the art therapy and family therapy fields, on multicultural issues and multigenerational influences of family unit separation.
